Journey from the beautiful spa town of Monção to the bustling historical city of Porto on our self-guided Minho bike tour in Northern Portugal, thoughtfully curated to showcase the region's exquisite local food and wine and the best of Portuguese hospitality. Cycle at your own pace through fortified towns, rural communities, valleys cloaked in vineyards and coastal nature reserves, following the Minho River before continuing down the Atlantic Coast to the historical city of Viana do Castelo. Trace the Lima River to Portugal's oldest town, where a selection of wine and traditional tapas awaits. After a stop in Barcelos, located on the Camino de Santiago pilgrim trail, pedal past coastal dunes peppered with windmills and stop to admire the colorful fishing village of Angeiras. Your final leg will be to the city of Porto, where you can toast to your adventure with an included port wine tasting!
