This week we’re off to Italy for some sun, cycling and a taste of la dolce vita on our Pedalling Prosecco, Padova & Venice tour.

In a Nutshell:

Where is it?  Starting in Vicenza (30 minutes from Venice by train) or Mestre (Venice) you will discover the magic of Italy’s Veneto region on this week long cycling tour. You’ll be travelling in a loop heading east, taking in the sights of Venice, Padova and Treviso before returning to Vicenza or Mestre.

Why? Explore the magical cities of Venice, Vicenza, Padova and Treviso. Enjoy a leisurely wine tasting in the Prosecco Vineyards. Drink in the beautiful Veneto region of Italy, exploring the art, architecture and culture of Italy’s Veneto. This easy going cycle tour visits the jewels of Veneto including Vicenza, shaped by the vision of the great architect Palladio, Bassano del Grappa, renowned for its fiery liqueur and castles, the Prosecco vineyards below the medieval hilltop town of Asolo and of course Venice and the fishing villages of the Venice Lagoon.

Planning & Preparation: This cycle tour is graded easy to moderate as the riding is almost completely on flat terrain with some hilly stretches now and again but be assured, the hills aren't steep or long. From our experience it's always good to get out on your bike for a couple of back to back days on the lead up to your trip for you to get the most out of each day of cycling.
