"Me and my son walked the first legs of St Oswald Way; decided upon just a few days before, but perfectly handled by Laura from the back office. We had a wonderful time. Thrills abound. The most haunting discovery (by my son) was the grave of a slave, Rob, at the old vicarage. Poor man! But his ghost was still there, seeking us through the night, his voice calling. The most pleasant discovery was the easy walk through a historical landscape. The most charming discovery was all the kind people we met at pubs, beaches, hotels and B&B's." Even with the haunting discovery, World Traveller from the Netherlands gives St. Oswald's Way 5 Stars! Fancy cycling? Then the Danube Cycle Path is for you! "Once in a lifetime experience!" Exclaims Scots from Scotland, as he describes and offers tips on cycling from Passau to Vienna. "It was very well organised, the cycle paths were excellent and well sign posted. Your luggage was very well organised, a couple hotels were basic and a few were excellent. The only thing I would consider would be to fly into Munich and fly home from Vienna. A little tip would be to take something along to identify your bike as there are lots of bikes the same as yours. Lots of good food, wine, beer and scenery along the way. Fab!" Vicki and Jack from Hampshire walked the Pennine Way in 21 Days and note it was great for trying something new. "Excellent documentation and trip advice and clear guidelines of what to expect. The length of the walk each day was spot on with a reward at the end of great villages to find a good pint!! The accommodation in some places was quite basic and "unusual" but it all added to the diversity of the trip and made it an excellent adventure." Hadrian's Wall Short Break made for an excellent getaway for Marc van Weede. "We liked both the accommodations, but the couple at the East House reakkt went out of their way to make us comfortable. A very nice location too, with a walled garden & garden house to drink tea. You recommended we take a taxi from Gisland to Braxton and then a train back to Corbridge. One tip: It turns out that a direct taxi from Gisland to Corbridge for a party of five is cheaper and much faster! " We hope these stories and tips from our Macs Adventurers will prove useful when planning your next holiday.
